Several college students don’t have much real work experience other than one or two summer internships but it is important to present your experience in as best way as possible. Career Focus

Before writing a winning resume you need a clear sense of you career path like what career best matches your individual abilities. If your major in college was finance then a career in journalism is probably not for you. Potential employers who read your resume want to see that your skill set is relevant to their current opening. Placing your chosen career focus as a sub-heading under your name helps to demonstrate why you are a perfect fit for an organization.

Short Bio

You should write a short outline of qualities or assets you bring to an organization. Your outline should be in a short paragraph or a bulleted list form and similar to a sales pitch. This is your opportunity to sell yourself to potential employer. Try to answer these two questions:

Focus on Needs of Company

Use Action Words

You must use action words in your writing to propel reader through your resume. You can use keywords like developed, enhanced, managed and assessed. Include Relevant Information

One of the biggest mistakes people commits when writing a professional resume is including irrelevant personal information. If you are applying for a job as a bank teller it is not necessary to include details about your job as campus counselor five years ago. Your resume should be clearly written to showcase only those skills that can be applied to current job posting.

There are seven public universities in Serbia with a total number of 85 faculties and same number of private universities with 51 faculties. There are also five independent private faculties, 49 public and 32 private higher schools. Almost 150,000 students attend public universities and several dozens of thousands attend private universities. In 2007 more than 230,000 students was studying at universities in Serbia. In 2010 there are more than 260,000 students in Serbia, who study at 14 universities.

Sullivan handled on the job challenges with her compassion, creativity and persistence.

Know Your Stuff

Either you are lecturing at a university or teaching jewelry classes at local craft store you need to learn your subject properly. This will require attaining one or more academic degrees. You should become expertly skilled at what you want to teach. Proper credential either in form of university degree or life experience is vital to become a good teacher.

Listen Carefully

You should have effective listening skills because good teachers listen at least as much as they talk. Good teachers have patience with students who have trouble in asking questions. Instead of becoming impatient with student’s awkwardness, give them feeling that they have all time in world to get their thoughts out. Students need time to process a question so instead of waiting two or three seconds, give at least 20 or 30 seconds before responding.

Keep Learning

You should keep learning how to teach. Various people become teacher because of their passion that they love to teach. They want to talk about their subjects and sometimes they do this at the expense of their students. Good teachers are constantly assessing how well they are reaching their students. They ask for feedback, listen to it and then incorporate it into future teaching. In other words they are constantly learning to teach.

Continues Improvement

Good teacher should strive for continues improvement. They are constantly in search of effective teaching methods. Idea for writing a lesson plan and sticking to it semester after semester is anathema to them. Good teachers constantly revise and improve teaching techniques.

Frequent Checking

It is an effective trait to constantly check for students understanding. Teacher can do this by asking “Do you have any question?” You can also ask direct question about material you are teaching to check understanding of students. Try to get down to your student’s level of confusion and try to explain things from his/her points of difficulty. Don’t let the student fall and don’t assume that everyone gets your point.

Transfer to a new college is a difficult process. Sometimes it is necessary for college students to begin taking classes at one college and then transfer to another school, either to finish their current course of study or to pursue a higher degree. Transferring can be a good choice if you feel more comfortable in smaller less populated environment. Alternately some students transfer because they want to move or they realize they would be better studied to another institution. There are various ways to ease transition from one school to another. Asides from applying to schools, you need to plan your move, employment and housing, you also need to have all application as well as paper work in advance. Whether you are transferring from a two year college or a four year university or transferring to another school to pursue a major which your current school doesn’t offer. There are various considerations to take in account before transferring.

Understand Credits

Don’t assume that all your credits from one college will be accepted by another. Transfer students might end up having same course twice, once at their original school and again at college to which they transfer. To avoid this situation student should contact to college where they plan to transfer and ask for recommendations about which courses to take. Programs at community colleges are often aligned with programs at major university with same state so transferring to college of same state as your current school can help you avoid re-taking courses. Students can also take credit for classes taken at out-of-state colleges and foreign country colleges. Although there is a great chance that these students will need to take some courses twice.

Powerful Application

A transfer student should have a comprehensive application to new college. The basic difference between completing an initial application and a transfer application is that transfer application might not require report of students SAT or ACT scores. Transfer application focus on grade point average student’s resume, recommendation letters and personal essay. Transfer students need to maintain at least a B average overall in academic, grade level courses. Involvement in extracurricular activities provides a good point to place in resume.

Get to Know Your New School

Students who become comfortable at their first college and then end up feeling displaced and homesick while moving to a different school. It is important that students get to know their new schools before showing up on first day of class. Students can do this by personal connection with administration while they are being planning their credits and by getting involved in extracurricular activities or sororities and fraternities that have sections in new school as well. Transfer students should also find it helpful to attend freshmen orientation sessions at new school and to make several trips to new campus and town before classes begin.
